Why L4L?
I feel that preschool should be a place where children are excited to come every day. For most children, this is their first exposure to a school setting, and it is important that they develop a love for it right off the bat! My main goal is to make school a happy place, where each child feels good about himself. It is important that the children get along well with each other, learn to share, take turns, work, play, and communicate with one another.
As a former kindergarten teacher, I believe that it is important to teach rules and procedures even at a young age. This not only helps our preschool class be successful it also helps the children be prepared and confident when they enter kindergarten. My preschool is a “kindergarten readiness program” with a strong emphasis on creativity and social activities.
I start introducing and exposing children to letters at the very first of the school year. We also spend time on visual discrimination, small motor skills, hand-eye coordination, large motor skills, opposites, rhymes, patterns, listening skills, following instructions, and a variety of other readiness skills.
I am so excited about our Read At Three reading program! This program has been shown to be a huge success for many years. It teaches children letter names and sounds in an age-appropriate manner and makes learning fun! It is a program that will work with your child on their individual level and let them progress as fast, or as gradually as they need.
As I introduce the academics of preschool, I understand that the children will be at varying levels. I have designed the curriculum to be adaptable to children of all levels through differentiated instruction.
At Love 4 Learning Preschool, your child will sing and dance, build, engage in dramatic play and art, read and tell stories, and most of all enjoy being a child…all while learning!
